WizKids has given us another Civil War preview in the form of Captain American and Iron Man! Here's the link to the original article! Both seem to work well against each other as their beginning defense powers ignore their beginning damage powers. It will certainly make things interesting in the battlefield, and they might have to rely on their teammates to help knock them off their special defense powers. Here's Captain America:
At 80 points he can easily fill in a team in constructed, and in limited his Leadership counting as though he's 100 points and Outwit can make him a valuable addition to your Anti-Registration team. Speaking of Anti-Registration, this is a new keyword that we have yet to see in Heroclix, and I think it's a great idea for those who like to play theme teams as it gives you more options for team building rather than always having to use Avengers when using Cap! His Precision Strike looks like a good way to get around Iron Man having Impervious, and seeing as how Iron Man's special defense power ignore Close Combat Expert, Cap here is going to have to rely on his Precision Strike to knock him off that defense power. On to Iron Man:
Iron Man comes in at the same amount of points, and has a similar Leadership power but with Ranged Combat Expert rather than Close Combat Expert like Captain America. His trait is a sure-fire way to get around Cap's defense power, and with longer range than Cap it looks like Iron Man should be able to always get the first hit. It's why I mentioned earlier that they might have to rely on their teammates to help them out. I had also mentioned in a separate article that it looks like WizKids is taking steps towards building more synergistic teams, but we'll have to wait and see.
